Broadway Subway Project

Ironworker Generalists are required on the Broadway Subway Project.

Working Conditions:

Extended shift hours in changing weather conditions.
Busy, noisy, and dusty environments on dynamic terrains with multiple trades working together.
Personal Protective Equipment will be required (e.g., steel-toed safety boots, safety glasses/goggles, etc.)
Frequently alternating between standing, kneeling, and lifting positions in elevated or cramped spaces.
Construction jobs may require workers to be in good physical condition with the ability to lift heavy weight.

Requirements:

Valid Certificate of Qualification or Red Seal, Journeyperson, or Apprenticeship Ironworker certification.
Fall Protection certificate.
Experience in unloading and placing rebar.
Must have good observational skills and the ability to multitask.
Have a good understanding and the ability to follow safe work procedures.
Site Ready BC including WHMIS (provided by BCIB upon employment.)

Assets:

Rigging and welding certification.
SMAW and FCAW and experience.
Confined Space Entry, and Aerial Work Platform certificates.
Forklift or Telehandler certificate.
Experience working in heavy civil construction.

Wage Range: Wages can be found in the wage table of the Community Benefits Agreement
