What to Expect

Once you’ve completed the two-step application process, BCIB will review your MyBCIB profile. If we need additional skills information, BCIB will call you.

If you’re job ready with relevant qualifications, you’ll become a candidate for our projects. When a job comes up that matches your skills, you could be contacted by the union dispatcher. BCIB receives worker requests from contractors, then works with our union partners to deploy candidates matching the workforce requirements.

During this matching process, BCIB prioritizes the hiring of traditionally underrepresented workers, including Indigenous peoples, people of colour, women, locals, 2SLGBTQ+ workers, and those who’ve worked with us in the past.
