I would say this is honestly one of the most diverse projects I’ve worked on, ever! I’ve got the opportunity to meet a lot of great women on this project. Believe me, I thought women don’t do construction, and then I came into construction and was surprised to see so many women here.”
“Performing structural work on the Broadway Subway Project was an honor. It’s a surreal experience to work downtown in a metropolitan area with a 100-ton crawler crane hoisting 20,000-pound segments of bridge into a hole at night. I helped put in the first piece of a bridge on night shift. It was one of those special moments where I thought, ‘This is going to be something I will remember for the rest of my life.’ .”
