The ability to accurately forecast workforce supply and demand data helps minimizes project labour risk.
BCIB uses a proprietary, comprehensive labour supply forecast model. Our model includes current data on province-wide labour supply, availability, and demand. We get this data from our own Workforce Database, our industry partners, and member lists from the 19 Affiliated Unions. With this information, BCIB works with contractors, project owners and unions to target recruitment efforts and provide a clear picture of workforce supply.
