Pattullo Bridge Replacement Project

BC-1A, Surrey, BC, Canada

The Pattullo Bridge Replacement Project will improve the connection between Surrey and New Westminster through a new four-lane bridge. Updates will provide a safer crossing for all bridge users, dedicated walking and cycling lanes separated by barriers from bridge traffic, and better access to the bridge. The new bridge is scheduled to open in 2024.

Highway 1 - Kicking Horse Canyon Phase 4 Project

Located east of Golden, BC, along the Trans-Canada Highway, the Kicking Horse Canyon Phase 4 project will widen and modernise the currently rugged road. This final stage of the project will complete the network of improvements in the area, transforming the approximately 26 km stretch of highway into a four-laned, 100 km/hr standard route. With 30% of the traffic consisting of commercial vehicles, these upgrades will not only assist with connecting local communities, but more effectively facilitating interprovincial and international trade.

Cowichan District Hospital Replacement

6751 Bell McKinnon Rd, Duncan, BC V9L 6B7, Canada

A new Cowichan District Hospital is being built in the Cowichan Valley through Island Heath and the Province of British Columbia. The new community hospital will offer an integrated care model by connecting Island Health’s hospital-based services with primary care and other community-based services throughout the Cowichan region. The new building will be nearly three times larger than the current facility, with capacity for 204 beds, and more space to care for patients.

Broadway Subway Project

1915 W Broadway #28, Vancouver, BC V6J 1Z3, Canada

Extending the Millennium Line’s current terminus station, VCC-Clark, to Broadway and Arbutus, the Broadway Subway Project is a 5.7 kilometre expansion. This project is a key part of Metro Vancouver’s Mayors’ Council 10-Year-Vision, and will provide fast, frequent and convenient Skytrain services, saving commuters time and relieving traffic congestion. Construction is fully underway, with the line projected to open in 2025.

Highway 1 - Kicking Horse Canyon Phase 4 Project

Trans-Canada Hwy, Golden, BC V0A 1H3, Canada

Just east of Golden, BC, the Kicking Horse Canyon is an iconic section of the Trans-Canada Highway. In the summer, more than 10,000 vehicles travel it daily. This impressive project will upgrade the narrow road to a four-lane, 100km/h modern highway. It’s challenging and exciting work.

Highway 1 - Chase West Project

425 Coburn St, Chase, BC V0E 1M0, Canada

This Highway 1 four-laning project through the Village of Chase will improve safety and reliability for people travelling along this important corridor. The first phase of the project, Chase West, widened 3.3 km of highway to four lanes on the western end of the Village of Chase including access management, median and roadside barrier and active transportation improvements. The Chase East section is still under construction.

Highway 1 - Quartz Creek Bridge Replacement Project

FMM7+QV Beaver, BC, Canada

This portion of the Highway 1 Kamloops to Alberta program involves replacing the two-lane bridge crossing at Quartz Creek, 40 km west of Golden, with a new four-lane bridge, access improvements to forest service roads and widening 4.4 km of two-lane highway to four lanes.

Highway 1 - Ford Road to Tappen Valley Road

4783 Trans-Canada Hwy, Tappen, BC V0E 2X1, Canada

The Trans Canada Highway 1 Ford Road to Tappen Valley Road Four-Laning project will upgrade approximately 4.3 km of the Trans-Canada Highway (TCH) and replace the Tappen Overhead bridge. The western limit of the project begins at Ford Road and extends through to its terminus 400 metres east of Tappen Valley Road.

Highway 1 - RW Bruhn Bridge

921 Trans-Canada Hwy, Swansea Point, BC V0E 2K2, Canada

The Highway 1 four-laning project includes approximately 1.9 km of Highway 1 four-laning, replacement of the existing R.W. Bruhn Bridge with a new four-lane bridge, and intersection improvements between Old Sicamous Road and Silver Sands Road.

Highway 1 - Jumping Creek to MacDonald Snowshed

The project involves the design and construction of improvements to 2.6 km of the Trans-Canada Highway 1 approximately 40 kilometres east of Revelstoke, including rockfall and avalanche mitigation, climate change resiliency and median divider and roadside barrier.

Highway 1 - Salmon Arm West

100 Trans-Canada Hwy, Salmon Arm, BC V1E 3B8, Canada

This portion of the Highway 1 Kamloops to Alberta program involved widening a 2.2 km section of highway to four lanes from 1st Ave. SW to 10th Ave. SW in Salmon Arm. Other improvements included replacing the Salmon River Bridge, upgrading intersections and construction of a new interchange, new frontage roads and a multi-use pathway.

Highway 1 - Selkirk

The Selkirk project adjoins to the eastern end of recently widened Quartz Creek Bridge. This project includes four-laning 3.9 km of highway, two wildlife crossings, wildlife exclusion fencing, and construction of a new rest area.

Highway 1 - Illecillewaet

56HP+Q5 Canyon Hot Springs, BC, Canada

This portion of the Highway 1 Kamloops to Alberta program involved expanding the existing brake check area and four-laning a two kilometre section of Highway 1, 42 kilometres east of Revelstoke.

Vancouver Community College - Centre for Clean Energy and Automotive Innovation

1111 E 7th Ave, Vancouver, BC V5T 1R2, Canada

he Centre for Clean Energy and Automotive Innovation (CCEAI) is a catalyst project for VCC’s Campus Plan. Located in the False Creek Flats District, the CCEAI will not only revitalize VCC’s campuses, but it will also transform the Broadway and Great Northern Way corridor for the surrounding communities. 

Highway 1 - Chase East

140 Aylmer Rd, Chase, BC V0E 1M0, Canada

The Highway 1 four-laning project includes approximately 1.6 km of Highway 1 four-laning and incorporation of median and roadside barriers, a new, grade-separated interchange at Brooke Drive and installation of two grade-separated pedestrian paths over Highway 1 with connections to Scatchard Trail. It will also provide municipal infrastructure improvements, including traffic and pedestrian safety enhancements along Brooke Drive to Shuswap Avenue.
