Cowichan District Hospital Replacement Project

Glaziers are required on the Cowichan District Hospital Replacement Project.

Working conditions:

Extended shift hours in changing weather conditions.
Busy, noisy, and dusty environments on dynamic terrains with multiple trades working together.
Personal Protective Equipment will be required (e.g., steel-toed safety boots, safety glasses/goggles, etc.)
Frequently alternating between standing, kneeling, and lifting positions in elevated or cramped spaces.
Construction jobs may require workers to be in good physical condition with the ability to lift heavy weight.

Requirements:

Fall Protection/Fall Arrest, and Aerial Work Platform certificates.
Must have good observational skills and the ability to multitask.
Have a good understanding and the ability to follow safe work procedures.
Site Ready BC including WHMIS required (provided by BCIB upon employment).

Assets:

Valid Certificate of Qualification or Red Seal, Journeyperson, or Apprenticeship Glazier certification.
Aerial Work Platform, and OFA Level 1 certificates.
Experience installing punch frame windows and curtain wall assemblies.
Experience working in commercial or heavy civil construction.

Wage Range: Trainee/Apprentice $18.73-$33.30 Journeyperson/Red Seal-Foreperson $41.63-$48.71
