Broadway Subway Project
Carpenters are required on the Broadway Subway Project.

Working Conditions:
- Extended shift hours in changing weather conditions.
- Busy, noisy, and dusty environments on dynamic terrains with multiple trades working together.
- Frequently alternating between standing, kneeling, and lifting positions in elevated or cramped spaces.
- Personal Protective Equipment will be required (e.g., steel-toed safety boots, safety glasses/goggles, etc.)
- Construction jobs may require workers to be in good physical condition with the ability to lift heavy weight.
Requirements:
- Must be comfortable working from heights.
- Must have good observational skills and the ability to multitask.
- Have a good understanding and the ability to follow safe work procedures.
- Site Ready BC including WHMIS (provided by BCIB upon employment.)
Assets:
- Valid Certificate of Qualification or Red Seal, Journeyperson, or Apprenticeship Carpentry certification.
- Fall Protection, Aerial Work Platform, and Confined Space Entry certificates.
- OFA Level 1 certificate.
- Experience working in heavy civil construction or road building.
Wage Range: Trainee/Apprentice $22.31-$44.62 Journeyperson/Red Seal-Foreperson $49.58-$61.98
