BC Infrastructure Benefits employs tradespeople on major infrastructure projects in BC. When you apply to work with us, you’re applying to a network of projects.

When you apply and tell us about your skills, we’ll work to match you to jobs on our projects.

If you need more training, we can refer you to our training partners.

Every applicant will get an email back from BCIB. Within a couple of weeks, we’ll call you to review your application.

BCIB application

If you have questions about how to fill out the application or don’t know how to create an email address, we’re here to help. Email workforce@bcib.ca or call 1-888-567-2242.

  • It will take 5-10 minutes to complete the first step.
  • You will need your trade certificate number, place and date of issue and expiration date.
  • You’ll need your personal information and your contact details.
  • Make sure you have a stable internet connection.
  • You won’t be able to save your progress, so this step must be done in one session.
  • We’ll email you when STEP-1 is complete.

  • If you have skilled trades experience, you’ll get an email inviting you to create your MyBCIB profile (Step 2).
  • If you don’t have the required qualifications yet, not to worry. We’ll contact you directly.
  • You’ll need your professional and safety certificate/ticket details, such as the place and date of issue and expiration date.
  • You’ll need at least one professional or personal reference with their contact details.
